Hi guys

Been asked to provide a door bell system for an office (normally unmaned) at some kennels.

It a fairly big area and needs to be loud enough to be heard over the dogs and maybe run from the office to the furthest point.

Is there anything similar to the external telephone bells.

Any ideas ????

Cheers

Couldn't you rig up something with a fire alarm bell & sutable PSU ?

or even two bells if them dogs are real big:O:O

now theres a thought.

could be the easiest way to go and maybe the cheapest.

Yes.

Golden rule No1. "Keep It Simple"

Rule No2. "Make It Even Simpler If You Can".

If a fire alarm bell can be heard over factory noise...

a few dogs should be easy...

Actually some burglar alarm electronic sounders could be used as well?

Just need to double check that if they have an exsiting alarm system..

that the new doorbell dosn't sound the same...

otherwise.....

"doorbell rings..... They all run out thinking theres a fire!!!":^O:^O:^O

LOL

Its on a farm

I dont want the cattle to stampede thru the village :^O

or the carrot crunchers thinking its an air raid !!

Use a strobe system, flashing lights will always catch the eye. :D If you can find some strategic points to install two or three strobes. You can usually get 12V, 24V or mains versions.

Also it won't set the dogs off barking when someone calls at the front door which could well be a bonus really.........

Too late mate, been used in industrial premises for ages! I first heard about it from a friend who was working in a sheet metal stamping factory when he was younger.

You couldn't hear a thing apparently because of the noise and the ear defenders they had on, the employees had this hand signal system worked out to communicate with each other!
