Hi everyone
We should have had 16 panels, inverter and batteries fitted today. However, when it came to planning the days work the installers realised that the meter box was situated some 80 metres from the house and promptly said that they could not connect up and that somehow the box would have to be moved. We explained that that would be difficult as we did not own the land between the metre box and our house. The installation has been postponed.
Is there any way that the panels can be installed leaving the box where it is or do we have to find a way to move the box to the house

Consumer unit is inside the garage attached to house.
which, I'm guessing, is where they plan to install the inverter and battery, and have access to the meter tails feeding the Consumer unit. It maybe wied in SWA over that distance, in which case it's not hard to install henley blocks and tails so they can fit the amp clamp or bi directional meter that controls battery charging.
