Interchangeable MCB'S RCD'S Etc ( What Fits? )

If BSI was up to the job, ALL mcb's would be exactly the same size with the busbar entry all the same at a standard defined height and size.

But because the BS spec only specifies the rough sizes, we are stuck with lots of different makes, all different sizes with a number of different busbar heights and sizes.

P.S I do like the plug in QOE's. It means you can hot swap them, or even add a new circuit without shutting down half the building. I am sure someone will tell me you are not supposed to do that. :innocent

I have never had a problem finding QOE mcb's on ebay, but I keep a few anyway as an industrial unit I look after uses them.

Back to Memera2000. Wylex mcb's / rcbo's are a perfect fit, unless you find a MEM2000 with the wide fingered busbar (then there is always a file) :run  


Fitted a BG MCB into a Memera 2000 board last week went in a treat.
