You put up a request for work you need doing and you get sent possible contractors - I've been sent 106 possible contractors to then get quotes from

odd, most prices seem highish until you get to a consumer unit change, which is underpriced (unles they aren't including testing?)

I went for something simple like a broken fitting and it just asked for my email address to send the quotes to, so I thought that is what everyone did?

So what can you "tick" and see prices without giving up your email detail?

Ah I didn't get that far.

Some are a bit odd, "Socket replacement supply and fit"   Replacement implies there is a socket there so at worst a new socket and a back box and test it.  I only need to do 2 of those at that rate to earn a days wage, done and dusted in an hour?
