JL or anyone that knows

My kitchen tap is broken. Used to drip now trickles. A little irksome having to turn the isolator on each time we want to fill a bowl with water. Thankfully there's a 15mm isolation valve under the skink on both the hot and cold. I have a pressureised HWC and half decent cold pressure.

I'm after a recommendation of a reliable Monoblock kitchen tap - either white, chrome or SS. Easy to fit would be an advantage as there's not a lot of room under the 1 1/2 kitchen sink! (makes to avoid also appreciated ;) )

Thanks in anticipation :)

It's some kind of weird foreign import. Took washer to a Plumb Centre and they can't get one. The sold me a similar one but it just made my kitchen wet...........

they are generally ceramic discs and not repairable.

i would try all your local shops to find a design you like and manufacturer then go home and check ebay for a better price etc..

generally any tap will work in a domestic property . :)

here here here and here

Not a lot between the makes then? Will go to the builders merchant in the morning then!

what's your thoughts on flexible tap connectors?

generally modern taps are rubbish.

i would just get a good quality 1 and make do . dont pay anything silly for it ..

stuff nowadays is just not made to last.

flexible is fine just make sure the bends are not to sharp so as to slow the flow of water.

Cheers JL :D

Flexi connectors seem the cheating answer but think I may go down that route to get it done.

Bet I get a call just as I remove the old tap (on call this w/e)
