Following discussion on other post..

Thought I may be useful to have a reference area for LABC charges etc..

re Part P electrical work...

Both as a cross reference for sparks who may be doing notifiable jobs

and/or any other DIY looking at notifying & getting council to certify work.

Perhaps if guys in other areas could stick up links to their LABC dept websites...

we maybe could get a comprehensive set of links covering most of the country?? ?:|

(or maybe not... :( lets try & see? :D )

Anyway heres my input....

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council

3 St James Road Dudley, DY1 1HZ.

01384 814132

1] http://www.dudley.gov.uk/index.asp?pgid=4403

2] scroll page down to...

"Related Documents

Building Regulations Fees 2008/09

Building Regulations Guidance notes and Fees ( 313 KB )"

3] open the Adobe document...

4] general planning fee's... then further down schedule 4, pages 5 & 6,

Charges for "electric bits" Part P related testing etc..

i'll put a link up as soon as i can decide which one to use,

Im actually in the middle of 3 different LABC.?????

nightmare, but more of that to follow as soon as i get myself together enough to compose a decent posting.

This is an update for Brighton and Hove.

After talking to the firm who tests for them I have discovered that if LABC are happy with the test certificate a non Part P spark supplies and consider you 'compedent' they will accept the installation without further testing and inspection.

Happy days! :D

Hi all, here is the link for Maidstone BC regarding Build. regs. http://www.digitalmaidstone.co.uk/planning__building_control/building_control/building_regs__documents.aspx#Fees

Question though, it states that they need an 'Electrical Installation diagram', has anyone got any ideas on a realistic way of doing this as I am not sure what they would want ?????? Thanks
Oh ek!..

even these small number of posts seems to show varied & diverse charging and procedural methods between the various LABC's??? ?:| ? :|

Wonder if the drawings are building plan type drawings ?

or

Just a basic sort of labelled block diagram..

e.g.

MCB 32a radial 6.0mm Cooker

MCB 40a Radial 10.0mm Shower

MCB 32a Ring 2.5mm Sockets

MCB 6a Radial 1.5mm Lights etc.. etc... ?? ?:| ? :| ?:|

Hi all, dont know what they want, might ring or e-mail them in the week see if they can give me an example.

Anyone else seen this before?????

PS welcome to the new members

havant borough council ..........

Notifiable electrical works covered by Building Regulation Part P

plan charge

No part P here, but thought I would post a few links regarding electrical works (building warrants)

http://www.east-ayrshire.gov.uk/devser/documents/bsguidancecei.pdf

http://www.baldelectrician.com/nacbuildingstds.pdf

http://www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/buildingstandards/publications/GUIDANCETOVERIFIERSONELECTRICALSAFETYNOTCERTIFIEDBYACC.pdf

Note they all sat the same stuff, but the third goes on for pages.

It's no self cert up here (and client to pay for certification and inspection)

NIEIEC or SELECT (ECA)

Its a right joke.

Cant bear the thought of paying them a penny.

i think I will just use it to join a scam

and see what happens!
