labelling for circuits with no cpcs

This query came from reading the 'no cpcs' thread earlier.

For lighting circuits with entirely Class II accessories, or existing lighting circuits with no cpcs - How is the labelling done? What's on the label, and where is the label? [thinking of microscopic writing on a tag tied to the circuit's phase conductor!]

You buy a label - which state the circuits (you fill in manually) and attch it to the CU casing.

NIC do them but they are dear - You can get them made via the Labelpeople. I have used them on several occasions and they are a great & cheap company.

I will find a sample of what I mean Now.

I can see CUs becoming like suitcases covered with labels. Or could just have one sticker saying 'Please refer to your Electrical Installation file before opening the cover', assuming such a file, filled with schedules of inspections, tests and certificates etc etc, exists. Ha ha ha ha! Guiness Drink
