so then guys??? and gals'

what do you reckon....

is there an RCD on the wiring for the Large Hadron Collider at CERN?? :^O

will it Trip tomorrow when they switch it on???? ; \

has the spark notified it under Part P????

mmmmmmmm!

We're all doomed, all doomed I tell ya.

More importantly....................... Are we all doooooooooooooomed? :)
Create a Black Hole!?

we have our own on this forum....

Theory's Cave!!!!

Tis where all KME's Guinness keeps disappearing into!!!

I thought all the Guinness was been spilt when 'someone' was practicing their beer formations............
er hmmm!!???

I did tell you.. NOT a drop was spilt!

the formations are ONLY performed by professionals with many years of experience of NOT spilling anything!!! X(

I think it would make an excellent Doctor Who episode / location.... A black hole or split in the space/time continuum!

It virtually writes itself! :^O

But were still going to hell on a handcart....

I wonder if it's hard wired or on a european 2 pin plug?

theyve already done a blackhole episode.

Theory's wallet !!!!!!

I sort of half-heard an item on the radio today..

Some scientist boffin chap talking about the windings on one of the big magnetic cores wot they have been building at CERN...

now he said these windings have to carry 200,000 amps!!!!!!!

(or might of been 20,000... but still a ruddy lot!) all super cooled.. to stop them melting..

some flippin complex correction factors to work out there me-thinks:|

I reckon some poor old spark had to wire 4000x Wylex, TypeB, 50A, MCB in parallel to let 200,000amps pass!!! :^O :^O:^O:^O

In fact..

I bet them "Hadron Collider" cable bashers nicked all the RCBO's cuz their wires aren't deeper than 50mm in the walls!!! ; \ ; \ :_| :_|Blushing:D

Which is why they are like gold-dust down at the wholesalers!!

Any faults on it... got to work live.... cuz I ain't telling the boss man...

please can we turn the collider off for 1/2 hour while I reverse the polarity, and put an earth stapper to the back-box???

I've got me particle accelerator 'Safe-Lock-Off' device!!

; \ ]:) :p :p

I read on their site that they have to make this thing colder than deep space for it to work. Thats 1.9 Kelvin (-271C; -456F) lets hope their poor old sparks doesnt have to go in there to change the flippin fuses. :)

Extract from their Health & Safety proceedure..

3.5.06 Before commencing work; ensure the following items;

1 pair very..very..very thick thermal gloves!!

Long thermal undies, (4 pairs)

6 pairs knee length 100%wool socks

High Vis jacket, & calibrated earth loop tester!

:^O :^O:^O

What they DIDN`T say:

It`ll take a couple of months to know if anythint is going to happen, anyway.

How else do you speed up an atom to near light speed.

Then another one, going t`other way.

Then crash `em together, to see what happens when two items hit each other at almost twice the speed of light!!!

Why spend all this money???? Any kid who`se ever had a tonka toy, AND a matchbox car inhis hands, at the same time, could answer!!!!!

Me thinks thats a job for a geordie spark ;) :^O
