Well, we all know that every day is a learning day but ..........

Look at the RFC and oven cables in this photo ....... not at the poor insulation on the neutrals either!

Bit blurred but some of the cpcs appear to be in the neutral bar, there doesn't seem enough terminated at the earth bar.
 
Are there two sets of tails in the main switch? or maybe its the old VIR tails from the head? but then it could be no CPC on the last two circuits (RFC, Cooker)
PVC gone brittle or hard and cracked, is this what happens when the green goo comes out of the PVC

100% correct - no CPC's at the CU .......... but as all the sockets were spurs there was no access under the floor to the 1960's wiring or junction boxes. There is earth continuity at each socket!

Should the buyers complete, then a rewire of the sockets will take place and also increase the number of sockets by over 2.5 x
