I have two Panasonic Li-ion battery's that are dead and not charging so I was wondering if they can be saved in any way like you can with the nicad one's??

I noticed since I started keeping my makita 24v in the van the battery is rubbish due to the cold. It's ok when it warms up or gets a little extra charge.

I was in my local tool shop looking at new li ion hammer drills. He told me they have lots of people bring cordless stuff in to be repaired as it does not work, a few hours in the warm and it works fine.

I was told li ion hates the cold and it can stop working until it gets warm again.
