Hi all,
Thanks for having me on this forum. I am looking to connect with any lift engineers that might be based in the London area. It's quite an interesting proposal, I am either seeking advice where I can try and fix some issues myself as I'm fairly good at absorbing information and have spent a lot of time understanding this lift....... or as a last resort (explained further down) seeking the services of perhaps a self employed lift engineer who has some good electrical knowledge for a vehicle lift that is not working. I apologise if there is a more suitable thread for this specialism but couldn't find anything obvious, but admin please move to correct place if necessary. Thanks.
To give you some specifics, it's an Omer Hyperlift vehicle lift, from likely around 2013 installation with regular servicing up until 2023 or so. I understand is an Italian brand of lift manufacturer. This lift is currently not working, potentially turned off for a while as it was not required but is now turned on and not functioning 100% mainly due to some electrical issues with parts and a lack of recent servicing. There is some urgency in getting some vehicles out from a garage with the lift but if anyone has electrical knowledge relating to lifts, not necessarily this brand but with control panels, infrared sensors and various parts such as Schmersal AES 1235, Datalogic SE-SR2 etc.
I have electrical descriptions / diagrams / photos for the control panel, photographs of parts, the general setup etc. I have some spare parts available which I found by the control panel, lift setup diagrams and so on.
It is a unique situation where I am working in this residential location which has been seized as assets, however no money can be released to pay for a lift engineer to get one of the lifts working but there are vehicles stuck in the garage that need to be removed to sell. This is turn will then pay for further work required etc etc. Hence it being down to myself to at least try and do what I can with what I have for now......
I guess I will send the first picture which is the control panel for one of the two lifts. I am focusing on one of the lifts only which is in a much better state than the other.
Word of warning, some things I am coming across are not very logical and there is a possible chance someone has meddled with the system due to this particular site being seized as assets so I have found some things I am guessing are possibly tampered!
Photo of control panel...... I have since done the following so some issues rectified in the image:
1) Screen on front door of panel said A19 - Roof busy. The date/time incorrect due to power being turned off at some stage and backup batteries pretty depleted.
2) I noticed even with the mains power on, the Adelsystem said it was not on the mains. I have replaced the larger one with a new one and now things look better.
3) I have located 4 x 12v 7ah batteries from some other unused lifts elsewhere within the residential house itself, installed these into panel and this removed the replacement battery light that was on previously and it is now charging these batteries.
4) Now I am trying to establish which devices are not working from the lift setup, to establish what needs fixing. I have established some photo eye infrared sensors that are not working correctly, one is flashing and another has a permanent light on, with no obstructions and super clean. One is for the inner lift shutter itself another pair is for the outer shutter which leads into the car garage.....
So in terms of what I can see is not operating correctly within the panel are the 2 x yellow Schmersal AES 1235 marked ES21 and ES22. Both of which have an orange light. I have electrical plans of what these are relating to somewhere! I can see they are for P2 and P2 which is written on the front.... there are 3 floors for these lifts so I assume this relates to something on P2 floor and something on P3 floor.
Also I can see some of the Finder relays have red lights above them. I am unsure if a red light means something is on or an error or it just means this particular part is active....
I have no laptop to plug in to diagnose this system but it has a Siemens Somatic Touch Panel on the front and I don't have the username of password to configure anything or set the date/time etc.
What might seem an impossible feat, I would like to try because there is no plan B, so if anyone has any ideas or needs more information and photos, please comment below! Thank you in advance!
