Hello all,

I am pondering on these and wondered what your thoughts were:

1. Now that bulbs are in wattage as low as 8W, have you dropped your rule of thumb of 10/12 bulbs per lighting circuit and recalculated demand using the lower wattage instead of 100W per bulb?

2. Which bulb manufacturer has the most reliable products? (Have just changed 4 blown Tesco 40W incandescent bulbs this weekend...)

Thanks for any thoughts.

In the past i have been told off for calling them 'bulbs'. "Apparantly" bulbs get planted in the ground, you are refering to 'lamps' or 'luminares'!

:D

I did consider whether to call them lamps or bulbs and I'm sticking with bulbs! Who wants a lamping?! ]:)

Don't forget, with energy saving lamps, you have to alow for start up current of 1.8 tims full load.

The other problem can be that someone may well change back from energy saving to incandescsnt.
