Hi, I am replacing a 2 way kitchen switch that controls 2 separate light strips. In the current switch there are 4 brown (live) wires going to L1, L1, L2 and L2. (See photos) in the new switch there is L, L1, L2 and L3. I would presume L3 is unused since there is no screw. Can anyone advise on the correct wire transfer please? Much obliged guys.

You have by the looks two permanent lives and two switched lives. You need to establish if they are on the same circuit and which is which.

Cheers Fleeting mate, thanks for replying. Yes, both on same circuit (see photo). What's best way to determine which is which? Regards.

You will need a suitable voltage indicator and know how to use it in a safe manner.
