i have only seen this happen once.

i lifted a small flourescent tube and it lit up.

anybody know how this could have occurred or has anybody else seen anything similar.

show on channel five about jose the electric human just watching him brought back the memory of the lamp.

used to able to light a 6ft tube with the RF from a aerial Amature radio, hold the tube close to the top of the aerial and it would light when you hold the press to talk switch.

Poor Plod on his motorbike with the aerial level to his head on the old high band am sets no wonder they were grumpy.

100watt linear rf amp. CBrs used to have a neon on the tip of thier aerial would light on pressing the ptt switch.

what do you mean poor plod on his motorbike. one clocked me at 70 in a 60 and within 2 miles he has stowed his gear and gave chase, lights flashing and all. what a thrill that must be.

Reminds me of this weekend when I went shopping at my local co-op, the place was in almost darkness with only the emergency lighting working and a few display lights.

When I got to the till I asked what the problem was and if I could help, they told me they had an emergency electrician on the way, (20 miles from the store).

I said tell him to go back home and enjoy his sunday because all you need to do is switch everything off and turn them on one at a time and it will be fine.

They did not beleive me who would?

However the next day I asked how things went and they told me he did what I had suggested and it worked!

I hate it when people use the palm of their hand to try and switch 20kva of lighting in an instant lol

jose has just stuck his fingers across a fuse carrier. wtf.
Yeh just watched it, 244v on the meter, a finger from each hand on L and N standing on the ground just in shoes, not even a flinch

They recon he's been doing this stuff for 27 years and trained his body not to feel pain, but had yet to do any scientific test on the current/volts that he was connected to, however when measured at his finger tips it was not at lethal levels
