Hello all

I have to look at some lights that dont come on with the fob. Im have not seen this before and would like a bit of guidance. Im guessing a battery in the fob. Any other ideas? Sorry for being vauge it was a second hand message through wife.

Thanks

Are you talking about a wisebox type system here?

To be honest i have no idea what im on about. Its a good customer of the wifes and there is the possability of more work there so wanted to go with a little bit of knowledge about the system.

Im guessing that when they press the fob the garden lights should come on. Has anyone installed one before?

Yes probably the wise box system sold and made by mr resistor www.mr-resistor.co.uk and a great system if you got power but can't run switch lines. Think they take a CR2032 battery in the fobs and switches

There is also the "easyswitch" system, as sold by TLC:

EasySwitch Easy Switch Wireless Switches

Installed a few of these - great for an extra light switch; after the decor is done :) :) Or switches in awkward places, fobs, etc.......

They use a PP3 to program the reciever, but take it out once its "learnt" the code of the handset / switch - I have had trouble with one; but it had just "stuck" after a lamp on the circuit blew. Only time I had to replace reciever.
