The fella on Facebook has obviously been to the school of scare your clients into having work done

and if it’s his NAPIT label then he is obviously using the fatally flawed code breakers book too

My CU is plastic so I have removed the cover to make it safer, less to catch fire. Winner, winner.

thanks for your replies, basically what i was thinking. so next question would you say anything, ive held off for a while but yesterday went to one of my customer due to a fault, she mentioned seeing one of these posts and she's panicking about the her consumer unit needing to be replaced as its plastic. i managed to explain it all to her and now she is happy but she said if she hadnt have known me she would have felt pressured into contacting him, how many other vulnerable people would.

and god help when he has to fit AFFDs and has to tell all the customer in 1/2 years or when ever it is that the boards he has fitted are now not compliant!

what are your thoughts on 10 years until next inspection after a board upgrade?
