look what my inspection turned up!

i was sent to inspect a vacant property before the next tenant moved in and found a couple of problems

previous tenant had taken off a shaver socket and put a double socket in its place right next to the sink

i am hoping it was the tenant again replacing an old fan with a new 1 and connecting 2 bits of 2.5mm earth single core cables into the fan and the other ends into block but not even into the neutral, 1 is into the earth and as you may see there is no need for the block the 3 core and earth was long enough to get into the fan

the last pic is of a socket where the red live/line was short so someone has connected some brown and blue 1mm flex strands into a bit of block so that it would reach across.

had more of them fail than anything else Ive ever been too in recent history,

apart from the stuff from +15years ago.

ps, having looked at the pics again,

Im wondering how you can ascertain it is MK.?

certainly looks like an MK, you can see how the top of it slopes off slightly like MK.

never had any problems with MK lol, personal preference I guess.. but I like how instead of being sqaure they are more modern looking and rounded soft edges.

yes, they are OK really, just dont think they warrant the expense TBH,

Express do a fairly nice copy for half the price, I have some of those in my own house.

Click are cheap and nasty IMO , one of my wholesalers has swapped over lots of its range to Click and the quality is poor .
