What do you do when you have an electrical failure at home and all of the 20 electricians you contact, don't even respond, not even to say busy.
Waiting doesn't help, so you buy a new unit and cable, install and then contact more electricians, before powering up, and out of the 20 or so, one responds, to tell you that they do not sign 'other people's work', even though most electricians work is on stuff installed by other people!

How can I get the work done, while the system sits idle because no one wants to do anything?

theres a difference between 'signing off someone else work' and repairing a fault on other peoples previously installed work

and its not that 'no one wants to do anything', its simply because many of us already have work and simply dont have time

HOW are you contacting these electricians that don;t respond?

Here is how I respond:

PHONE me and I will answer and talk to you.
Leave a voice mail (because you ignore the message saying don't leave a voice mail) and it will be ignored.
Text me and I will reply "phone me" as I hate pecking a message on a silly phone screen.
email me and it won't get read until the evening as I hate pretending a phone is a computer capable of dealing with emails.
whatsapp me and you might get a quick message saying I will reply later, when I am at home and can type a message on a proper keyboard.
Facebook, never don't do that.

if you use WhatsApp for business (which is free) you have automatic messages sent out to people who contact you AND it can be used to send out an out of office if you’re on holiday

@Toku can you provide further information as to what you have or it is difficult to comment.

Looks like PV wins the bet, just looked on the SF forum and found this from the same user Toko name:

I had an inverter failure, during the oppressive summer and tried to get an electrician to check it for me.
20 tries and not one response, not even to say we're busy.

I bought a new inverter and cable and installed, but not powered up, then tried to get an electrician.
This time I got one response out of another 20, only to tell me that they do not sign off other people's work, even though most electrical jobs are on other people's work!

So, what do I do now, with the system sitting there and no one interested, not even from a safety viewpoint?

Any suggestions would be helpful, but not the abusive type

Good Day ProDave, I have used the phone, leaving a message as requested, no response and I have used their website, leaving a message. It appears that they don't even have the time to say Sorry, we are busy, or, sorry we are on holiday.

Apologies for the delay. I have replaced the inverter with a new one, Fronius Primo 2.5, which needs a registered electrician to set it up with Fronius via their app. That way I can get an extended warranty.
