Hi there new member here so I’m currently self employed I’ve been doing electrics for over 10 years all domestic like rewires, kitchen and bathrooms etc I only hold my 18th edition regs I’m going to start my level 2 in February (long story involved about qualifications) I need advice on ecs cards and what I can apply for with qualifications and experience I’ve got so any help would be greatly appreciated

What ECS card are you hoping to get as only having the 18th edition will severely limit what you can apply for at the moment. Reading through the different card requirements the only route I can see would be the experienced worker assessment to get a skilled card unless you go through the level 2 & 3 courses

Self employed doing electrics for over 10 years...????

How have you provided Part P compliance notifications for rewires?
What certificates have you issued for the work you have undertaken?
What calibrated test meters do you use?

Only having the 18th edition regs is a bit like just passing the theory test for driving...
But never actually taking or passing any actual driving lessons or driving test!

I think we may need a bit more info about this "long-Story re: Qualifications!
