New Ulez zone

So ulez charge is £12.50 per day if you drive a non compliant vehicle in the zone. which predominantly is older vehicles………….

or is it? 
surely in light of all the scandals relating to manufacturers falsifying the test results are the new cars really compliant?

According to the literature if you have a diesel Euro 6 engine you should be okay, not the case my van has such an engine which was registered in 2015 however enter the registration to check and I must pay.
