Currently in engeering manufacturing engine components, after 24 years working for the man decided at the big 40 to make a break enroled at our local college. Had to join a waiting list, took nearly a year to get on a course but here I am at 43 2330 level 2 under my belt and working towards completeing my level 3. Should be all done by easter. I then hope to get on the next 2391 course.

The master plan is to eventually work for myself but in the meantime I need to gain some practical experience.

Any useful suggestions welcomed:)

Cheers OOTD

Two evenings a week 6- 9 pm. plus the hour traveling each way. It all makes for a long working week. :z

Hello everyone. I'm Dave

I just found this forum, so i thought I'd have a look

I'm currently working in Transformer manufacturing and I'm looking to retrain as a spark

I've started a course, 2 nights a week, at my local college,

doing City & Guilds 2330 level 2. Then if it goes well, to do Level 3 and so-on. As yet I have not got as far as finding a job but I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

So far on the course we've covered a fair bit, the first exam is in January.
