whats with all the old singers/bands now coming back with new stuff?

surely i cant be alone in thinking they have blown everything they made years ago and need some extra cash

Credit crunch! All their other investments are going belly up so they need to come back on the scene to keep their lifestyle.

Allthough music does the rounds, 80's sounds are back in at the moment

When did it become a rule that singers have to be " young" To whom are you refering I wonder , Tony Bennett still does concerts, Bob Dylan is touring ,with a new album, Rolling Stones still tour, jazz and blues musicians keep going, Johnny Cash was still performing until too ill.

What are we saying here , move over Mr Sinatra , John and Edward are taking over.

Mr Sinatra is dead. Who are John & Edward?

I heard that Stevie Wonders management were looking at a big come-back tour...

But when they put the proposal to him.....

he said he couldn't see anything in it!:OBlushing:|

:coat :coat:coat

Im too young for the oldies :D so i wont even notice lol.

I read some where that Admin 2 Votes for John and Edward to win on X Factor

I think a valid criteria is whether they are relying on past glories or actually producing new music. Watched Roger Taylor on Breakfast TV this a.m. & Queen are releasing yet another greatest hits compilation!

There are oldies out there who are still relevant such as Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Stones etc. but there are also artistes who should retire as they have lost it. Tony Christie & Andy Williams for examlple.

Well now you mention it guys , nearly all my favourite singers seem to be dead, its sad but true. It would be wrong to say there is no talent around today but a lot seem to be manufactured to suit teenyboppers . I know I'm an old phart but I think I grew up with some of the best. You young 'uns can take the pee all you like but lets see who we have.

Elvis- Buddy Holly - Chuck Berry- Eddie Cochran- Little Richard- Fats Domino-Dion-Ricky Nelson- Jerry Lee Lewis - Frank Sinatra- Ella fitzgerald- All the Jazz Greats- Muddy Waters -John Lee Hooker- Woody Guthrie- Bob Dylan- Pete Seeger- Johnny Cash- Emmy Lou Harris- Michael Buble' -Judith Durham - Beatles- Stones-Barbra Streisand-Flatt & Scruggs . Theres more but I'd hate to drone on.

Right lets hear it
