As the Title says :D

Currently Studying for my 2391 , hopefully have that done in around 4 Months time.

Looking for work In South Liverpool , but I have my Own Transport so I can Travel.

Hi mate,

I'm a qualified spark myself (25 years) and did my own wiring on a side extension to the house myself last year. Before the council will sign the building work off I need a part P cert for the work completed. Could you or do you know of anyone that will certify the work for me? All the cable routes, socket / switch heights are spot on, I just need the cert. Many Thanks, Steve

P.S. I'm in St Helens

No electrician can sign off someone elses work. Phone labc and ask if they will accept a pir. Then any registered sparks will be able to sort you out mate.

I completed the work last year and have only just found out that if your not registered you have to let the council know at first fix so they can inspect it. I contacted one local company who was saying it would have to be rewired?

Everything is correct as it should be but will the council just inspect and test or am I talking drastic measures?

Explain to the council you can not supply a part P cert and the electrics were done under the notice to them and all you can supply is a 7671 cert.

Not quite true mate - you need to contact and pay the relevent fee first with your proposal - they then issue you with an acceptance letter - you then need to contact them 48 hours before work commences. You then notify them when first fix is complete - they then come and visually check your work. They then sign off or tell you what is wrong and you have to rectify it. Then at second fix you contact them again and they do all their tests - they then give you a completion notice - job done.
