A mate of mine owns a large IT support and install company that covers most of London and is looking into offering PAT testing to his customers. As I've got my c&g 2377 qualification he's asked me how much I'd charge to do it.

I've seen prices vary from around

Do you not have a daily rate? You may have to specify max number of hours per day you'd work? It's irrespective how many items you test. Is it your own tester or does it belong to company?

I've got a daily rate for the usual domestic work I do, but that's more local than London. It's my own tester, labels etc.

I think what I'm gonna put forward to him is a flat rate, slightly higher than I charge to cover cost of travel and use of my own tester and see what he comes back with.
