Anyone hear this one on the radio ? In an Arizona town the people took exception to the introduction of speed cameras , they were all dressed as Santa Claus over Christmas ( the cameras that is) with the hat over the lens and the population have refused to pay the fines , amounting to many thousands of dollars . Now that a certain amount of months have passed the fines cannot be enforced any more and are discarded. Applaud SmileyApplaud Smiley

I remember being told when they was first introduced over here, that due to an error in the legal wording of the documentation they sent you once snapped, it was not illegal not to sign it and return it to them, but if you did it was an admission of guilt, further more if you did not sign it then it would not be chased up due to the wording issue. I did put this to the test after I was snapped soon after being told this, and thankfully I heard no more about said photo, thus allowing me to maintain a clean D/L (thankfully).

This loop hole has now been closed ! ! !

you did used to be able to do that it was a well known thing and a certain magazine with a large circular regularly informed readers of this. I believe the loop hole was closed fairly quickly.

Indeed. By law you had to inform them who was driving but you did not need to sign the form and without the signature they could take it no further.

there used to be a few loopholes, now theres non really unless they mess up. Got caught doing a well over the limit when I was younger, luckily the letter arrived 4months after the date, so ignored it, got reminder with threats 4weeks later, ignored it. Been 5years now and nothing!
