ive been asked to fit a supply for a power shower, so it basically just runs a pump in the shower i think. it needs a 3a supply so i was going stick a rcd fused spur on the ring main for it. i normally just work with electric showers so always put an 50a pull cord in circuit but now im wondering if the power shower will need one or will the rcd fcu be enough. if i does need one would a 6a pull cord (like a light pull cord) be used coz im thinking the 50a one would be overkill.

thanks in advance

Well think about it, 3A fused spur, so pull switch needs to be rated at .....A?

Probably doesn't even need a pull switch though, most pumps will work with pressure switches contained within so all you need to do is supply power to the pump and job done.
