hi

i got my 236 pt1 and 2 back in the late 80's when i finished my apprenticeship and worked as a sparks for the next 15 years.

i then got a job in computing, bummed about abit im now in engineering.

i was thinking of going back on the tools and wondered what i would need to do to get back upto speed with current regs.

i was thinking of some house bashing again and have work i could start asap.

anyone know if my qualifications are still valid and what would i need to do to start back up again.

regards

chossy

You'll need to do the c&g2382 which is a 4 day course on the latest wiring regs (17th edition amd1) and then register with a scheme like Elecsa, niceic, napit etc so you can self certify under part p for notifiable work. Hth :)

Welcome to the forum by the way :)
