Quick Question on 12v DC car voltage, repair of Tyre pump

hi folks, first post here, hope you can help.

I've bought a replacement car 12v socket for my electric tyre pump as the device still works but the plug had shattered.

I need to solder the new connections but not sure if it matters which way round I do it, don't seem to be any markers on the the wires or connections.

Don't want to deflate my tyres instead of inflating!!

Funnily enough,

I did the same to my tyre pump.

I am not overly sure if it makes a differnce ,

But, I just went for it and soldered them.

I thought, the worst that can happen is it will either de-flate the tyre or blow a fuse.

It worked a treat.

I do-not believe it does make a difference, But I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong. :_|

shouldnt matter buddy,

but check the wires to make sure none of them has a slightly raised ridge running along it, +

otherwise dont worry. its just a little electric motor, it wont deflate your tyres if done wrongly, thats what the 1 way valve is for.
