He can have the prize Applaud SmileyApplaud SmileyApplaud SmileyApplaud SmileyJust to elaborate a bit more on what the other guys have said..and reference some page numbers and a bit of reading...
To the strict definitions of Part2 BS7671 and symbols used:-
'R1' is resistance of line conductor of a distribution or final circuit.
'R2' is resistance of circuit protective conductor (CPC) of a distribution or final circuit.
BUT it is worth noting that lower case 'r1' or 'r2' do not appear in this list.
(whereas for example 'C' and 'c' both do!)
But 'r1' and 'r2' do make an appearance in the ring continuity testing guidance on pages 36 & 37 of guidance note 3
and pages 81 & 82 of on-site-guide.
where r1 and r2 refer to the loop continuity readings of the ring.
It basically refers to an interim calculation/reading on the way to obtaining your R1+R2.
But Deke told me you already ate the prize when you said Caps/Lower case! :_| :_| :_|He can have the prize Applaud SmileyApplaud SmileyApplaud SmileyApplaud Smiley
