I was asked to fit an oven below a hob as quick as possible..seemed straight forward fit flex to cooker 13amp plug into socket.
On my way home get the keys tenants moving in friday just gone.

the cooker socket,,,,,,,spur 1.5mm

the socket i thought was feeding the spur,,,alas a spur 1.5mm
i checked all sockets in kitchen 1.5mm spurs :_|

cooker hood 1.5 mm t+e to flex twisted together of course :^O
no junction box anywhere !!!!!!!!
alarm bells are ringing so i decide to check a socket upstairs that had been replaced with a wickes special

i originally put in my martindale plug tester and i showed it was ok.
as you can see the earth is missing on the faceplate :_|
first thing friday phone agency tell them the problem,,,can i fix it by lunchtime :^O :^O
nope and you shouldn't let the tenants move in.
landlord phones me and what a suprise.....
he bought it after it was refurbished,, no certs
i thought he was going to cry just waiting for the call to fix it
the worrying thing was that the handyman was going to fit the cooker and hes not got a clue
no smokes in there either
