Hello everyone.
So I am replacing an old ceiling light fitting in my bedrooom. There are only 2 wires coming from the ceiling and the new light has a ground wire. How can I connect the new lamp up. Do I just connect the old wires and then leave the ground in the new connects?
I should add I am far from a clever man so please keep it simple.
I am in UK if thats important.
Thanks in advance

if the new light has an earth connection, then it eeds to be earthed - you probably need to have a alook above the ceiling to see if an earth is present.
