It's times to replace my tired trusty RISCO Novagard 2 which is looking shabby after 15+ years of service. It's a good loud sounder with nice bright LED's which could be seen day or night. It was the original rectangular shape with square ish edges with the straight red lens at the bottom. The newer replacement Novagard 20 has the slight wave lens.

I'm looking to replace it with a more modern looking trianguler Novagard 6. Has anyone had any experiences or seen these around ?

I'm hoping RISCO have kept the same bright LED's on their current range of sounders.

Decided to take the plunge with the Novagard 6 and fitted it today whilst the sun was out !

Yes super bright LED's which stand out very visibly day and of course much better at night :) Twin piezos too so extremely loud ! Can recommend to anyone whose in the market for a new bell box.

Couldn't find one in any of my local alarm suppliers so managed to source one online at a reasonable price. Also can recommend Bentley's flashing LED's which I've fitted in my dummy Novagard 6 box. They fit nicely in the LED original housing in the red lense. Not as bright as the live box but still a good bright flash at night. The battery is mean't to last around 5 years !

any pointers as to a price point?
Paid £36.55 for red live backplate with white front cover plus £5.99 P&P.

Dummy box was £16.56 for front and back plate complete.

Got them from Hunters Wholesalers (not sure whether I can mention a firms name ?)

Here's a link to their RISCO sounders :

The Novagard 6 can be setup in different colour combinations (front cover and back plates). I went for the red back plate and white front cover. I think the red lense stands out better for the LED's.

Got the Bentleys flashing LED's from my local Northern Alarm Supplies shop. Paid £10.50 + vat.
