Smart meter. What is a "2 minute test"?

Where I was working today had just had a smart meter fitted.  There was a sticker next to it confirming the installer had done the "2 minute test"

I am just curious what this 2 minute test it?

smoke has not escaped for 2 minutes and nothing has gone bang. not that they can see, its all dark since there's no power coming out of it

Someone was timed to see how quick they could swap the meters over??
