smokes on rewire

Yes I thought on major refurbishement that smokes were required?

 
I think you will find Refurbishment refers to material changes to the structure of a property, e.g. adding rooms etc..

Page 15 of App Doc B...

talks about, New dwelling houses, and Material alterations where new habitable rooms are added!

Basically those where the building inspector has to come out and sign off the structural work...

If NO inspector & NO sign off structural works then IMHO it is not a Refurbishment!

ALSO...

what defines a re-wire?

ALL circuits replace within 2 or 3 weeks period..

or...

what about CU changed 1 year

Downstairs circuits next year

Upstairs circuits the year after...

Is that a rewire?

or a series of individual small jobs??
