Obviously we all have lots of tools and equipment.

I carry all my most useful handtools in a canvas toolbag (I have another bigger bag for other tools).

But what tools are in your small bag/box ?

I tend to carry:

Pozi 0 - 3 screwdrivers (stanley)

2 - 7mm flat tip screw drivers (stanley)

Pozi 1 & 2 1000V sibille

5.5mm 1000V sibile

1000V NWS side cuts

1000V NWS pliers

1000V snipe nose pliers

dewalt extreme twist bits

dewalt extreme masonary bits

conduit deburrer

junior hacksaw (stanley)

hammer

allen keys

torq bits

vera impact driver bits

cable ties

over shoes

12" spirit level

mini rods

ratchet crimpers

stanley knife

Fluke t5 1000 tester

2 off wide jaw adjustable spanners

conduit spanner

Grips

I'm sure I have other tools in there too (scratches head)

I also have odds and sods of tape, junction box, fuses, terminal blocks, sleeving.

Well, off the top of my head:

Tool Belt:

Knipex 160mm side cutters (snips) VDE,

Knipex 165mm Cable shears (parrot beak jobbies) VDE,

Knipex Linesmans pliers,

CK Tail Cutters,

CK Pozi #2 VDE,

CK 4mm slot VDE,

CK 3mm slot VDE,

Wera 2mm(ish) slot,

Newlec Voltage/continuity tester,

Cheap socket tester,

Folding (Lock) stanley (not stanley) Knife,

Utility box key,

3.5mm Threader,

AA Maglite,

1m of earth sleeve.

Box:

Junior hacksaw,

Big hacksaw,

Various holesaws,

Tape measure,

400mm x 16mm sds drill bit,

400mm x 24mm sds drill bit,

Red/blue/yellow rachet crimps,

Lug rachet crimps

Automatic wire strippers,

Various (backup drivers)

Claw hammer,

Lump hammer,

tricians bolster,

'Knocking' driver,

Cable staple gun (from alarm installing days, but is useful for 4mm earth when used),

2 x Wide jaw adjustables,

Knipex cobra pliers,

....loads of other bits that I cant remember at mo.

I have a 'mini' tool holster that has a engineers insulated, pozi No.1 insulated, side snips insulated and pliers insulated. A Fluke multimeter, mcb lock-off and a socket tester. A pencil and a Sharpie are also there.

I find it does a lot of the small jobs/initial inspections before you have to lug the heavy tool-kits out! :^O

Hey up,

I find the NWS stuff good - I'm sure there are better out there (and far worse).

But for the cost, I find them great :)

I'm not into tool belts (well not here in the uk - with the type of work I do. In Canada where I worked on timber framed houses, then they were good). I tend to wear holstered trousers (snickers), I find the pockets are great for carrying ****e lol

Its amazing how you "bond" with your tools - The hammer I have is about 10 years old - any other hammer doesnt feel right lol
