Thought I'd see if this runs .

Theres a programme on R4 called "I've never seen Star Wars"      A celeb each week who didn't see it has to watch it  plus doing a load of other stuff they never did before .

There are many I seemed to miss , Star Wars was one of them .  Bought the box set last year , missus liked it  ( Probably due to Harrison Ford)  I gave up after first one TBH.

Never saw  The Fonz whatever that was .

Didn't like Cheers much  but thought the spin-off, Frasier was excellent .

And I thought Harry Potter was excellent ,  where it some passed some by as Star Wars did me .

Also I remember people round me raving about Michael Jackson ,  couldn't  stand the squeeky voiced tosser TBH .  ( Probably an age thing )

So what planet wide popular things did you miss out on or just couldn't give a #### about?

You need a BB gun, put holes in their washing when they put it out, 

Only I've missed a few times, and they now have a hole in their conservatory, and the wife has had a go at me as it seems somehow, (absolutely nothing to do with me BTW,) their cat also seems to have a few holes in it.

I always laugh when Michael Jackson gets mentioned, I'm not saying I'm old but I remember him when he was black, lol.

Tv these days confuses me completely, there's more cookery programmes than ever, yet  more people are getting fat through eating loads of takeaways and ready meals.

People who we'd avoid like the plague when we were younger because they were total dicks are feted as celebrities on stupid TV shows.

White kids talking like they're black and thinking they're tough because they have a pit bull type dog, and nobody taking responsibility for their problems, it's always someone else's fault, " I only rob people because my mam and dad divorced when I was a kid", or "I only take drugs because I can't get a job" or the one that really boils my pee, "it's ok for you, you've got a trade". yes I have but I went to college and learned it, it's called getting off your arse and making something of yourself.

When we look back over the decades, each one had something to remember it, each generation did something to be proud of, the Jarrow Marchers, the youths who took part in the Mass Trespass on Kinder Scout, those who fought against pit closures, or the poll tax, what will this generation be remembered for? Oh yes that's right, stuffing their faces with fast food and watching Jeremy Kyle whilst being off their tits on drugs, wonderful !

Nope, fortunately!....that was one of her mates

she made it as far as squad but never got to final,selection

I just remembered a few more examples ...The Simpsons   :C     & that series of American action films , always the well known actor whose name escapes me , in a vest , just passing through , the only one who can save the world ,  about 300 killed in each movie    ( Not the big German bloke)

Excuse me   Sgnt. Phil . of the   Grammer Police      there is a comma....its not  ...whose name escapes me in a vest ...its    well known actor whose name escapes me  ,  in a vest ,  .  Its not those two  its that other bloke ...there are possibly 3 or 4 of these films ...Alan Rickman was the baddie in one .

This bloke rides on top of lifts  , crawls through air ducting etc  killing baddies to the left , baddies to the right , hes indestructible .   Not the one who does the boxing films either . Big Italian bloke ...anyway its not him  and its not Herman von Diesel  either .
