When working on a domestic property do you have to isolate the ac and dc? And does the electricity produced get fed back into the system through the neutral of the existing domestic installation?

The inverter should shut down quickly when it senses the grid disconnection, but if it worries you turn off the AC isolator.

best to shut down system - should be a rotary isolator next to the inverter., although just turning off the MCB for the solar will also shut it down, and no, it won't leak leccy down the neutral .
