All dialers work near enough the same way. They need a 12v supply from the alarm panel. A pair of cables as the input or trigger (+ extra cores if you have a dialler such as the SD1 where different triggers can operate different messages) A tamper pair if needed and last but most important, the phone line!

The easiest way to get a trigger is to tap off the bell output

thanks for the replys lads

went round today and had a quick look, the panel is a honeywell accenta cheap looking thing with a seperate keypad.

slipshod you say the best way to get a trigger is to come off the bell output, is that + & -

then just 12v from the panel?

cheers

Hi Stringy,

AFAIK as Accenta does not have communicator connections then connect up as follows:

Alarm Panel ----------------Speech dialler

Aux + connect --- 12v

Aux - ---------- 0v

Global tamper -------- Tamp terminals

B --------- Trigger Input 3

Telephone Master Socket----Speech Dialler

Term 2 -------- R Blue/white core (telephone cable)

Term 5 -------- T White/ Blue core

This will only give you the option of one generic message to be dialled out when alarm triggers, so you want be able to send out variuos messages as to the alarm state ie intruder, Panic, Fire.

Hope this helps you out mate.
