Squeezing payment out of customers

We all have our own ways of doing it.

A friend of mine gives customer 2 weeks if they dont pay,he actually sends some big scarey lads round.

I know some jump straight for legal action.

But what do you lot do on here to make customer that dont really want to pay, or just are dragging their feet?

I think as we go into this alleged recession.more and more people will start to try and knock tradepeople. They will have the work done and then think. hmmmmm we cant pay for this now...

That's why I have a card machine- they can't bounce a cheque as my machine is chip and pin

It also checks I am getting the funds when I am actually in the customers house
