hi guys
was looking at stubby wood drills
does anyone use them ? and what length would be best, is the shorter the better ?

Not if you have a thick piece of wood?
Wood beavers are ok, just found they didn’t last as long as a Bosch fast cut.
was thinking with a locking extension bar they would be better in the kit than a standard length one

so an angle drill or a hex bit extension, which is cheaper i dont like spending
Are you new to this? Self employed I presume?

Without the correct tools to do a job then all you do is make the job harder and longer for yourself, but an angle drill, put it through your expenses, it’ll last you years and you’ll get perfectly good straight holes that is too say they will not be on an angle through joists. No risk to damaging cables when pulled through.

ok so no real need for very short wood bits
its just i had seen a guy had cut down the shaft of a bit so he could use it in tight spots
