This is my 300TDi which I bought on Fri. Just managed to get her stuck in a foot of snow though! Got out of it eventually but hairy for a minute or two.

300's were good workhorse engines. Had a fair few Landies over the years (series 3's, discos and rangies). My current Rangie has been sliding a bit but its not really any different to driving on mud esp when you get stuck (I havent yet but pushed some other cars out).

ive just been digging mine out, took 3 days off last week so ive got to try and get in on monday!!

Exactly same here. Leaving the van at home tomorrow and will use the Disco. Just fuelled up courtesy of the boss's fuel card so am sure that will give him something to moan about but my way of thinking is that I get in and earn him money or I don't and we both lose money.

ive been watching people trying to get moving today and only one bloke wit snow chains got moving!

its only about 2 miles for me to walk to site but in the ice and snow its an absolute killer!

Well it warmed up today so a lot of the snow has gone but has started snowing again this evening. I have got to go back to work tomorrow have had to much time off.

Very nice. I had one of those until last year when I got rid after selling the boat. Make sure the centre diff lock works and look after the cooling system as I had problems with both.

I would thoroughly recommend www.landyzone.co.uk very helpful bunch.

I've been defrosting pipes in the utility room today. Managed to get the sink taps running again and then moved round towards the washing machine. Happened to pull the dryer out and noticed that at some point the hot has frozen and popped the valve off the end of the pipe! Minor flood avoided there, could have been fun if I'd have just left it to thaw out on its own.

In the snow just before christmas I was out with my brother in his Freelander in a small village in Bedforshire, we come to the top of a hill to see a Transit Connect trying to come up the hill towards us, Now if it was luck of good driving I do not know but as he was sliding backward down the hill he managed to swing the van around and with a small nudge on offside back wheel as he hit the raised verge he spun it to face down hill and drive off quite happily :) .

Now I Live above some shops in Milton Keynes and have had such a great time watching the Tescos lorrys trying to get out of the access road over the past 4 days :) they have all failed and had to be winched/towed out even today with most of the snow now turning to slush they still had to be winched out :).

Having a landy of any kind seems to be a good idea but as my brother said to me (he getscompany one due to working at a dealership) yeah he can get up that hill no one else can but its no good trying if the road is blocked by all the others abondoning their cars after failing. :)

My girlfriend was getting very corss with 'idiots' trying to get up hils and blocking roads. Had one yesterday morning but was running late so couldn't stop to help him and turned around and went another way.
