Hi

Can anyone recommend a good wall stud/metal/voltage detector that works, I bought a Draper one about a year ago and it does not seam that good, unless i am not using it correctly......

i never trust them common sense and a six inch nail works for

me if it is wet. its water if it smells its gas if it flashes and bangs

its electric dont waste your money and if you are worried use labourer

I too use the Stanley intellisensor pro, good machine if a little bit hard to understand the readings at first. All in all though a good machine.

 
I belive you get what you pay for.

if you buy cheap you should expect inconsistant results.

buy the best tools you can afford if you use it alot.

borrow or hire tools that you do not use very often.

The "stanley" intelliscan is a pretty good piece of kit.About 30 notes.

Been using for 3 years now. Not bad, as these things go.......
I believe that is what I have. I don't rate them at all. :(
