Need to suspend some metal conduit from a ceiling (Think its plasterboard, its hollow sounding) to hang pendent lights from

was going to use threaded rod and some sort of clip

Don't know what the parts are called though.

So I need a bracket (what's it called)to attach to the ceiling, then the rod bolts on to that.

Then a clip for the conduit, what is best to use , looked at brit clips but don't know what's best.

Any advice on this most welcome

What you are looking for is a munsen ring by the sound of it. But I'm nut sure the are used for conduit. Also by the time you have assembled this lot its going to be heavy. You will need to make sure there is something substantial behind the plasterboard to fix to.

You could always fit the conduit to the ceiling and use long drops for the pendants or dome plates and conduit drops, or hook paltes & chain to a pendant. lots of options.
