asked by chap who is partner of customer I do work for to run armoured cable that he has supplied. Down a stream in his garden to two double waterproof sockets. These are to be mounted on post as area can flood approx 50metres down garden. I said that I would not be happy laying cable in stream without any protection ie service ducting. what are your thoughts on this.

the explosion should be better than an oil refinery :^O :^O:^O:^O:^O:^O

seriously though, i personally wouldnt unless a duct was there.

;)

run away, run away,

far far away.

even I draw the line at some things,

SWA is insulated, not totally submersible proof.......

bet he finds someone to do it tho.!

I told him that I would only do the job if the cable was put in a ducting, he said its my stream no one goes in it etc etc. I said I have to certificate my work so if you where to move out and someone in the future where to get injured due to the cable I would be liable. He then started to talk about cash so like a good electrician I put a high price in. Hopefully that will be the end of it.

u could always run it alongside the stream if the money was big enough.

if he decided to toss it in the stream after you left then its nothing to do with you.

I suppose this is a 'sink or swim' type job...(I'll get my coat)

:(
:^O :^O:^O

You leave that coat where it is "K", IMHO - That was a cracking one.
