Morning, having major problems with a utility company. Can't go into it in depth right now but basically on the merrygoround of them promising dates etc and failing to meet them, them failing to taking in advance direct debits quarterly as per our agreement and instead taking annually in one hit. We've had refunds and apologies on the one hand (over £1K) followed by red letters for the full ammount, them blaming automated systems. Then they tried taking the full ammount again. Talk about Broken Britain! And so it goes on.

I need a method of recording both sides of our telephone conversations. Ideally something where I could save to an MP3 file so some sort of telephone to laptop system.

Any help appreciated.

I use 'automatic call recorder' on android samsung s4 which works perfect. Records all incoming or outgoing calls in whatever format you want. Also set up to record specific numbers or all calls.

I have an auto call recorder on my android, works perfect,

Just be careful on legalities,

If its personal number then no issues, if the number is also used for business then its different and, AFAIAA you must tell the other party they are being recorded.

I use

automatic call recorder

works perfect for me, 2.1 I think Im on,,,,

auto stores the last 10 calls, and gives you the option to save so it doesnt get deleted if more calls get recorded.

Mobiles do not work where I live - I am that LOW in a valley and isolated. Besides I wouldn't want to be on the phone to a utility company on a mobile. Must be a land line one.

tape recorder [or whatever they are these days] with phone on loudspeaker,,,?#

BTW, mobile phones do work where you live, its just that the reception is very  bad

just,,,,,, being pedantic

Using Audacity under Ubuntu with this Re-Tell 157 unit. It's only recording ME at the moment (good quality) but NOT the other party! Hmmm........more playing required!
