Hello Chaps,

I'm looking at sending out a letter to the local council and hopefuly tender for some work, the problem is that i have no idea how to word the letter.

If anyone can help or offer advise i would be most greatful.

thanks

First thing is most councils now will require you to have 10 million public liability insurance.

You must also have a stringent H&S policy in place. Being a member and accredited with chas is a good step forward.

You will also need a D U N S number, this is a specific number allocated to your business.

This allows you to be easily identified on all databases.

Then you must register on all web sites for public tender work, you will have to monitor these sites and request the required forms as soon as they become available.

As you can see writing and asking for work will not get you in.

Most letters they recieve asking for work or soliciting your sevices will end up in the bin.

If you require any information about what I have said just ask I will be happy to help if I can.

I'm in your area Paul b b and I may have hold of the wrong end but if your looking for work Ifind the local directories the best at getting work, you have to keep going tho' maybe pay for 6 months,
