We all make rules about "Downtime".
Some of us won`t answer the `phone when there`s footy on.
Some turn off the mobile at 7.00 p.m. (alter as appropriate)
Some just don`t "do" weekends.
Us - our downtime is Sunday afternoons. At about 1.00 p.m., we open a large bottle of wine. Then another. I don`t (can`t) go anywhere or do anything.
Yesterday (Sunday) ; 12.55. `Phone rings. It`s an Indian fella, whom I`ve never met or worked for. He`s got a restaurant about 10-15 mins from my house. The industrial extractor fan isn`t working.
I offer him Monday morning. Rates`ll be high, as it`s a bank holiday. He wants it now - today!
After a bit of sign language between me & the missus; I agree to go and "have a look".
33 mins later, I`m back in the house. Cold glass of wine, and
