On the second day of being Prime Minister , according to Radio 4 , theres a meeting with M15 & MI6 to update her on the security situation .
Then she has to produce the ..... ( I've forgotten the proper term but its something along the lines of )............ Letters of Doomsday . These are her instructions, in her own handwriting, to the four Trident submarines , only to be opened if they have lost all contact with the UK after 4 hours , these are at every 15minutes and actually include Radio 4 .
All Prime Ministers had their own version apparently which include orders to offer their services to Australia or the US and whether to retaliate or not .
The only published ones belong to PM James Callaghan who advised not to retaliate.
