Three Phase PAT test

I have been doing some pat testing in a local garage. There is a three Phase MIG welder on wheels. My pat tester only does single phase.

I do have a set of Robin installation testers but I am not familiar with the procedure. Can anyone help?

IR between phases. earth etc as normal

I don't know if there is any sensitive electronics. Should I connect 1,2,3 and N together and test between them and Earth?

probably easier to short all 3 phases & neutral together and test as single phase. most welders have the incoming flex direct to a switch, so not much chance of damage, but there may be the odd one thats different
