calling andy.c

the current in a coil changes from 5a to 2a in 0.05 seconds and induces a voltage of 30v in the coil the inductance of the coil is ?

well stuck.

cant really remember this and a quick google doesnt bring up the correct formula, but i think it is

S x V / voltage change

(s=seconds)

so 0.05 x 30 / 3 = 0.5

*** this may be wrong***

its to do with the rate of change
:z

E= di/dt

E= 3/0.05

E= 60

di = change in current

dt= change in time

L= V/E

L=30/60

L=0.5H

here we go chaps hope this helps with exams coming up soon
